We offer reliable & affordable afterschool childcare every school day to children of Moss Hall Federation.
Unlike most providers, our ethos is based on enabling children to design, create & organise their own play. This develops confidence, resilience, risk taking, team building & negotiation.
We know that opportunities in children’s lives for “free” active, no – screen play are increasing minimal, so we believe that the centre provides a respite from pressure. goals and targets that are ever present in the lives of young children.

Need to go into the office instead of work from home ? Last minute changes to afterschool care ?
Book an ad hoc session*at £10.50.
This flexible option is designed for last minute changes to your normal schedule of afterschool care. Requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance, and we will always do our best to accommodate where space allows.
*Applicable to parents whose children already attend the centre other days.
Not all children want to be in the middle of the action all the time, and at Moss Hill Play Centre we recognise how important it is for children to have a calm space to relax and reset.
That’s why we’ve created a dedicated quiet area, complete with a small library and comfortable cushions, where children can enjoy a moment of contemplation, read quietly, or focus on homework.
This peaceful space supports children who need time away from busy activities, helping them feel settled, comfortable and supported in a way that suits their individual needs.
We provide melon, pears, apple, satsumas, oranges, banana, pineapple, carrots, cucumber, tomatoes, seasonal fruit & veg when available.
We encourage children to eat more fruit and veg as healthy intake rather than carbs and to eat them first.
Children are offered toast, bagels, wraps & fruit bread along with bread sticks, cheese twists & crackers.
There is always plenty of the above & children are offered more should they ask.
We endeavour to keep the play environment safe, secure and children feel happy to be left in our safe hands.
Children are in a place where they can freely play with their peers. They are encouraged to make suggestions and shape the environment through the children’s council.
Hours
3.15pm to 6.30pm
We operate Monday to Friday Term Time
Pick up from the Junior playground.
We open every day apart from Bank Holidays, Christmas break or school professional training (INSET) days.

£10.50 per day
We use a secure online booking/payment platform called iPal.
Once you have registered and a place has been offered, we will ask you to login to iPal to enter your details and your child’s details, contact numbers, medical/dietary needs etc
All the day/s are booked for the academic year.
Childcare vouchers are a popular and viable payment method; we work with all registered childcare voucher providers, allowing families to use Afterschool club with their voucher of choice for either full or part payments.
Our flexible payment plan allows you to pay via monthly childcare voucher instalments, helping you spread the cost.
You’ll find a full list of providers we work with here and their unique reference numbers (URN), which you should use when booking. If there isn’t a URN, please use the postcode instead. N12 8PE
Please ensure your childcare voucher/TFC payment is sent to us at least 5 working days before your payment due date to prevent any unnecessary overdue balance on your iPal account.
Following the completion of this process, kindly allow up to 7 working days from the date of payment initiation for it to reflect in your iPal account.

We aim to accommodate day changes but due to the increasing demand for afterschool care this is not always possible.
We are unable to refund if your child does not attend due to sickness/holiday.
We require 4 weeks notice to cancel the place.
We accept childcare vouchers & government tax free schemes, debit/credit cards and bank transfers.
